On Tuesday 1st July 2025, Anmore Dressage will host a full-day clinic with renowned horseman Jason Webb and foundation trainer Lisa Wessels. Taking place at Highbank, Clanfield, the day is designed to develop trust, connection, and confidence – both on the ground and in the saddle.
Whether you’re looking to bring your own horse or attend as a spectator, this clinic offers a rare opportunity to learn from two experienced and respected trainers in a calm, supportive setting.
Groundwork: The Morning Session
The morning begins with the Trust and Respect Groundwork Course, led jointly by Jason and Lisa. Groundwork forms the cornerstone of safe, effective training and is particularly valuable when preparing for competitions, travelling to new venues, or working with young or sensitive horses.
The session will include:
- Settling your horse at an event using Jason’s safe-tie system
- Foundation groundwork exercises in the arena
- Long lining and ground hacking around the farm
- Practical techniques to improve focus and communication
Groundwork is suitable for all levels, from young horses to more experienced partnerships looking to improve consistency.
Ridden Confidence: The Afternoon Session
Following a short lunch break in the barn, the afternoon transitions into the Ridden Confidence Course – a progressive ridden session focused on communication and control in group environments and unfamiliar surroundings.
The session will include:
- Ridden controls in the arena
- Riding in groups, both in the arena and on the farm
- Negotiating obstacles in varied environments
- A final group debrief and opportunity for discussion
This session is aimed at riders who want to build confidence in their horse, particularly outside of the home environment. Exercises are designed to be both practical and transferable to everyday riding situations.
